Healing Journey

A Sacred Journey

Each of us has a unique story of our earth walk.  There are twists and turns as we grow, heal, and evolve.   It is a tapestry of the people, places, and events we experience or are conditioned to within our society.

My journey began as a 2-month preemie in the early 50’s. Spending the first 9 years immersed in nature in the Hudson Valley of New York was a rich foundation and fertile soil for my journey.  There are pictures of me as young as a toddler playing in the backyard.  I had a relationship with all the creatures in the creek, especially one wood turtle that returned each year.  She was recognizable by an injury on the left rear leg.  I always felt connected to the natural world.

Feeling connected to nature and to “Spirit” is an ongoing path in my life. During different cycles of my life, it took on different forms. The Christ-centered path took on the forms of progressive Presbyterianism and Catholicism. I continue to be informed by these paths: social justice, service, and mysticism.  Each strand in my tapestry is important no matter the outcome as they add strength and wisdom to my journey and spiritual maturity.

In my forties, Spirit was calling me to grow in new ways into my authenticity and being beyond the rules and roles that I learned so well.  I had some unlearning, greater integration, and personal work to do.  The old “boxes” were too small for me. During a prayerful moment, I asked this question: Where have I known Source has always been?  Before I could barely mutter the question out, Spirit answered the question: Nature.  With that answer, my quest began.

Blessed with many teachers, teachings, ceremonies, and personal healings, over the last 30-plus years as I’ve walked my shamanic path.  My first teaching and ceremonies were passed on to me by North American Metis’ (Native/European) Elders. There was rich teaching in the medicine wheel reflecting the web of life, ceremonies including sweat lodge, vision quests, energy work, and healing practices. My second teachings were medicine wheel teachings from the South American traditions, adding more threads to my tapestry of life and my spiritual understanding of other shamanic cultures.

In 2020 during the pandemic, I yearned for another “jump” in my spiritual practices and growth.  The pandemic gave me the time to dig deeper into my path and deeper healing.

Synchronicities struck like lightning when I took a Shift Network Class from Sandra Ingerman. The practices of “Core Shamanism”, Direct Revelation, Journeying, and working with Spiritual Light became the new strand in my tapestry of growth and healing.  Journeying gave me the key to claiming my authenticity at a deeper level.  That authenticity has led to greater clarity on how I live my daily life and serve the web of life.

I feel blessed to study with Sandra Ingerman. I attended her Advanced Shamanic Practitioner Training in 2024. Listed as a Shamanic Practitioner on: www.shamanicteachers.com   I will attend her Teacher Training in 2025 and 2026.

My journey took me down the path of education in many “roles”. The root of the word education comes from the Latin educere which means “to lead out”. Be it children, teens, adults, families, or animals, my passion is to walk alongside you as a guide, teacher, or coach as you walk your unique path toward healing and authenticity.

It’s an amazing soul journey filled with joy, sorrow, laughter, and healing supported by nature and your helping compassionate spirits.

Come join me in this amazing journey as we become “archeologists” of the soul and let our Divine Light shine.
