Shamanism and Journeying- A Path of Direct Revelation & Heart

If these questions resonate with you, we invite you to join us for a five-week introduction to Shamanism.
In this course, we will explore the practice of journeying—a method of direct revelation—and your connection to compassionate helping spirits, guides, power animals, and Source. Over five weeks, we will lay a solid foundation in journeying, the Web of Life, and the unseen realms where Spirit Helpers reside.
You will be guided step by step, while honoring that your experience is uniquely your own. In direct revelation, your wisdom comes through personal experience. For thousands of years, shamans have made these connections—and you can too.
Session 1: What Is Shamanism? – Journey to the Lower World
An overview of Shamanism, the Web of Life, and the unseen realms we will explore. You will journey to the Lower World to meet your Power Animal.
Despite its name, the Lower World is not ominous. It is the elemental realm—the world of earth, water, air, and fire. It is the realm of nature: plants, trees, animals, rocks, and more. Here, you will discover your Power Animal, a spiritual ally who walks with you on your earth journey.
Session 2: The Upper World
Imagine traveling upward through the clouds into the etheric realm of the Upper World. Here you will meet a teacher—perhaps a historical figure, a spiritual being, or an ancestor from your lineage. These Teachers offer wisdom, clarity, and guidance. They agree to work with you as compassionate helping spirits, supporting you in your journeys and daily life.
Session 3: The Middle World
We journey to the Middle World—the world just outside your door. You already connect with this realm every day, but you will learn how it communicates through symbols, synchronicities, and signs. We will also explore simple ceremonies that deepen and enrich your connection to all three worlds.
Session 4: Divination and Healing Journeys
Divination journeys are undertaken on behalf of another person who brings a question or concern. The shamanic practitioner journeys with their compassionate helping spirits to receive insight, clarity, or guidance for the client.
Session 5: Shamanic Perspectives on Illness and the Web of Life
We will explore the shamanic understanding of illness and how imbalance may appear within the Web of Life. Ethics, boundaries, and responsible practice will be discussed, along with time for questions and answers about developing a personal journeying practice.
Journeying and direct revelation open the door to new perspectives, deeper connections, and a more empowered spiritual path on your earth walk.

About the Facilitator
Debra Duwe, MA, has walked a shamanic path for over 30 years. She is deeply blessed by teachings and teachers within both North American and South American shamanic traditions. In 2020, Debra was introduced to Sandra Ingerman and her work in Core Shamanism, including journeying, Medicine for the Earth practices, and Healing with Spiritual Light. She has completed Sandra Ingerman’s Advanced Shamanic Training and is currently engaged in Sandra Ingerman’s two-year Teacher Training program.
Debra brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her teaching, honoring both ancient wisdom and personal experience.
